It’s not often we see Berbatov portray his fun character, a player who’s known to be fairly reserved and relaxed. But in this Adidas video, United’s number 9 certainly displays another element to his personality.

Berbatov is all in.

Following rivals Arsenal and Chelsea, Manchester United were the next club to launch their new home kit for the 2011/12 season. It’s the first time the shorts, socks and shirt are made from Nike’s recycled polyester. Each complete kit is made up of up to thirteen reclaimed plastic water bottles, thus reducing energy consumption by up to 30 per cent compared to the manufacturing of traditional polyester.

The jersey certainly looks better than last year’s, will you buy it?

The moment thousands of anxious Barcelona fans have been waiting, the revelation of the away kit for the 2011/12 season. In previous years the club launched colourful away strips ranging from orange, yellow, light blue, turquoise, gold and pink. This time round the marketing department selected a black shirt which is an unusual decision. However, if the shirt sales figures are high, then the new kit can be regarded as a success.
Would you buy it?

I once asked him for his autograph and he told me to… well, I can’t tell you, you can’t print it. He thought I was joking. I’d just lost my job at Leicester and I had a programme and I asked him to autograph it. He’s an absolute hero of mine as a footballer. He did give it to me in the end. He’s a lovely man. And what he spoke to me about was dignity. And he remembered when I got the sack at Bristol Rovers. I asked him why he’d packed in and he spoke very openly and honestly – only for five minutes – he said: ‘You must always keep your dignity’.
