Creating The World Record for Longest Football Fan Scarf - AFR x FIFA 12
However rational or irrational, the dream of diving into a pool filled with a substance of your liking seems to be fairly universal. Whether it’s diving into masses and masses of chocolate, drowning in money, or getting stuck in the bottom of 9 feet of Jello, the dream, for some reason, is invariably persistent. Well, what about scarves? It’s not at the top of my list, but for those of you that adore Roberto Mancini’s style (I’ll let my good mate at university remain anonymous), it’d fill a pool decently enough.
Well scarf aficionados, EA Sports and FIFA 12 have you covered. They’re planning to set a Guinness World Record and create the world’s longest football scarf and they’ve reached out to us to offer the AFR community the opportunity to join in on the fun. We’re offering two exclusive spots for your message to appear on the FIFA 12 scarf, which will be sitting alongside the messages from Kaka and other footballers that are probably less perfect than Kaka.
Just keep your message under 140 characters and include the colour you want your piece of the scarf to be. Submit your messages to us via twitter (@afootballreport) or via email (contact@afootballreport.com) by Tuesday evening. Go on and be a part of football history! Also feel free to check a few more pictures and follow @EASportsFIFA on twitter for a better understanding. May the dream of a pool filled with football fan scarves live on!
Kaká was at Disney in advance of next month’s prestigious Disney Cup International Youth Soccer Tournament, which features nearly 200 teams from 16 countries. While at ESPN’s Wide World of Sports, he picked up the other kind of football and threw around with a few NFL players.
On May 17th 2011 Adidas launched the new adipower Predator football boot in a secret location in East London. A colourful advert featuring Kaka, Van Persie, Nani, Rodwell, Shelvey and Llorente.
I know the World Cup has come and gone, but do I really need an excuse to post the tournament’s red card compilation video? Enjoy and relive all the hard tackles and soft sending offs.
Brazil’s current #9, Luis Fabiano, has said, “I must be honest and say Premier League football attracts me and also the way Manchester United play football attracts me.”
Have your say: Do you think Sevilla’s star should head to the Premier League? I bet Robinho is telling him to stay far, far away from Manchester. And Kaka just feels bad for the guy.
